American Milestones with Joan Lunden and In-Sourcing

After many years of outsourcing, many American industries have gone in a new direction – In -Sourcing. Many companies now realize the value of hiring American workers to perform various functions within their organizations. Many recent American college graduates bring a valued skill set that can help American companies innovate and prosper.

Technology companies, communications firms, Silicon Valley start-up companies, and others see the potential and value of bringing on board young American workers, whose familiarity with technology makes them assets and sources of fresh ideas. These workers have hands-on experience with technology and computers, and can come up with innovative ideas about ways to improve existing technologies and create new services and products.

American Milestones with Joan Lunden explores this recent and encouraging trend, which has been heralded by media sources and politicians across the country. Although some other industries focus on the bottom line and continue to outsource jobs to foreign countries, many white-collar and high-tech industries realize the value of In-Sourcing both from a human resources standpoint and a public relations standpoint.

A diverse, magazine-style program that airs across America, the American Milestones Joan Lunden show seeks to highlight intriguing and encouraging stories across America and worldwide. It presents insights from throughout the economy and across U.S. culture.

American Milestones Joan Lunden and the Future of Energy

With recent spikes in oil prices leading to high gas prices at the gas pump and economic pain for American consumers, the need for alternatives to oil is increasingly apparent. America’s over-reliance on oil and other fossil fuels may have suppressed the development of alternative energy sources before, but people across the political spectrum realize that renewable energy sources like wind energy, hydroelectric power and solar energy could reduce our dependence on oil. Furthermore, natural gas, an abundant, domestic product, could also lessen that dependence.

The American Milestones show takes a gander at the growth of industries that produce energy alternatives to oil across the country. The American Milestones Joan Lunden TV show highlights thriving alternative-energy and green-energy companies across the United States, speaking with employees, business owners and managers about the challenges and opportunities in these high-growth industries. The television program chronicles advances in the production of alternative energies and the growth of infrastructure to support these emerging industries, and explores how these industries could lead to new American jobs, economic growth and a cleaner environment.

American Milestones aims to offer viewers insight into major developments across the business world in an effort to enlighten and educate. Its producers seek out interesting and compelling stories across society, concentrating on encouraging stories.

American Milestones with Joan Lunden and the Future of Marketing

American Milestones is more than a television show on PBS. It is also your guru for teaching you about new developments in business practices as diverse as marketing, hiring, and new product development.

Marketing, the art of promoting one’s goods and services, and convincing consumers to purchase your goods and services, has evolved greatly over time as technologies and forms of communication have progressed. While word of mouth, the oldest form of marketing, remains perhaps the most powerful sales tool, companies, entrepreneurs and industries have used media to promote themselves for centuries. The introduction of the printing press in the 1400’s ultimately led to the mass production of flyers and brochures.

Newspapers, magazine and other periodicals then followed, allowing businesses to advertise to the masses in print. Radio and television allowed marketers to expand their reach even further, while the internet has radically altered the marketing landscape. The next step in the evolution of marketing, social media, has enabled companies to communicate directly with their customers. American Milestones Joan Lunden examines trends throughout society, and informs TV audiences about different developments and innovations taking place across our culture. The show will explore advances in advertising and speak with experts about the future of marketing.

American Milestones with Joan Lunden dives into issues and subjects across U.S. culture and beyond, showcasing interesting, upbeat and important topics and stories that affect families, businesses and consumers throughout America. It looks at ways that technological advances and innovations have changed our culture and the way that people and businesses communicate, among many other topics.

American Milestones Joan Lunden, and Cloud Technology

Most people are unfamiliar with cloud technology, but it is quickly growing in popularity.   Due to its newfound popularity, small business owners and consumers are having a difficult time distinguishing between marketing hype and what is truly beneficial to their business. The latest study of the Consumerist shows a major disconnect between the use and comprehension of cloud technology.  With broadband internet, there is a decreasing need for software to run through a single computer or company site because most software, now, is web-based or downloadable.  The cloud is a grid of computers serving as a matrix to deliver software and data.  American Milestones with host Joan Lunden will delve into cloud technology, how it works, the pros and cons for small business, and will deliver practical solutions for individual and small business owners.

American Milestones with Joan Lunden is distributed on public television stations in all fifty states as a short-form interstitial program.  The American Milestones team is made up of Telly award-winning writers, field producers, directors, producers, graphic artists, and editors that are experts in the development and production of short-form interstitial programming.
